hello, i'm asher, but you may call me ash or valentine (or v4lent1ne, whatever works). i'm a filipino college student currently taking their bachelor's in english language studies and an aspiring writer and musician.

i've been writing for as long as i can remember. i used to be feature writer up until 10th grade. mainly, i write poetry, essays, and fiction, so far only short stories but hopefully soon i'll muster enough creative energy to write a novel.

bass playing, however, is a newfound love of mine. i picked up bass playing at 14 and i've been in love ever since. i play bass in a college band and hopefully when i learn the guitar well enough, i'd be able to combine both passions and get to writing songs.

interests

asian media. books, movies, music, especially japanese ones, and anything that tackles some level of existentialism and all around depressing thought-provoking stuff.

rock and shoegaze. my favorite genres of music. i also like punk, indie, and pop.

gothic aesthetics. art, architecture, fashion. i'm obsessed.
